The R & D + i Science and Technology Park, under the UBU, the Technological Institute of Castilla y Leon based in Burgos and the R & D Centre of Villafria are some of the exponents of the firm commitment for promoting research and development of the city.
The manufacture of high-quality graphene, where the Antolín Group is the European and world leader, and liquid methionine, being Burgos one of the few places in the world where this amino acid is produced are also examples of this commitment to innovation of the Burgos industry, however, they are extendible to their metalworking, automotive, chemical and agribusiness sectors.
Promoted by the Regional Government of Castilla y Leon and currently under development, this technology park will have an area of 124 hectares, of which 45% will be allocated to the settlement of innovative technology companies, mainly those related to robotics, automotive, development of new materials and equipment, telecommunications and agribusiness.
This new infrastructure, with quick access to the Logistics Centre of Villafria and whose commissioning is scheduled for the next five years, aims to develop entrepreneurship and technology-intensive services with qualified personnel and environmental respect in their processes.
